Meet Team Peacock Acres

Shaniz Beza - Executive Director

Shaniz Beza is the Executive Director with years of experience serving the community. In her role with Peacock Acres, she is advancing the agency’s mission of serving youth and families in need, significantly expanding Peacock Acres transitional age youth program to address homelessness among at-risk young adults and increasing collaborative partnerships with government and family service providers locally and throughout the state of California. Shaniz brings with her a commitment to an outcomes-driven clinical model and a strong passion for team culture and collaboration.

Steisha Monderoy - Director of Strategic Projects

Steisha Monderoy earned her Master’s in International Policy and Development from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies where she focused her research on migration and organizational capacity building. With 15 years’ experience in public, and non-profit sectors leading policy creation, program management, and development, Steisha is a transformational leader that has a track record of implementing strategic solutions requiring change management, organizational leadership, and data driven execution. As Director of Strategic Projects, Steisha oversees the accreditation and program review processes and manages regulatory compliance. In her free time she enjoys traveling and working on community centered projects such as mentoring.

Belinda Valenzuela - Bookkeeper

Belinda Valenzuela has been with Peacock Acres since 2012. She joined to learn more about the programs and get actively involved with the youth. She likes to volunteer in the community working alongside other non-profits, churches and schools. She has been working as a bookkeeper for over 20 years and brings a lot of knowledge with her. Belinda is excited to see Peacock Acres grow and looks forward toward what the future brings.

Sonia Zepeda - Office Manager

Sonia Zepeda joined Peacock Acres in January 2023 as Office Manager. She is currently in college pursuing a degree in Business Administration.Her goal is to give back to her community and work for a place with meaning. She looks forward to seeing the youth achieve a brighter future. She enjoys spending quality time with the youth by cooking and taking out her dog for walks around the block.

Ana Hernandez - TAY Program Manager

Ana Hernandez has been at Peacock Acres since October 2020. She started in Transitional Aged Youth as a Case Manager from October 2020 to August 2022. With her experience as a Case Manager, it has led to her promotion as a Residential Manager at the Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program. Ana has experience through her undergraduate internship in working with Probation Youth in San Benito County. Ana received her Baccalaureate from San Jose State University majoring in Social Worker. Ana is working towards furthering her education and is hoping to start school by next year and receive her Masters in Social Work. Ana continues to further her experience while giving back to the community. Ana enjoys working with youth from all different backgrounds and hopes to continue doing the work.

Priscilla Negrete - TAY Case Manager

Priscilla Negrete has been a TAY case manager at Peacock Acres since October 2023. She received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology at California State University of Monterey Bay. She would like to continue her education and get her masters degree in counseling psychology or social work. Priscilla’s biggest motivation is being the first college graduate in her family, and breaking the stereotypes of young mothers in her culture. Her best skill is her determination and ambition to learn and help others. Priscilla looks forward to helping her community, learning, and making a positive impact.
